Be sure to mark your calendar Saturday, Oct. 3 for the annual Pride Festival at Gainesville’s downtown Community Plaza . The festival will have dozens of local musical acts and vendors lining the plaza from 1 to 9 PM. A Kids’ Space will be available and more food vendors are expected this year. The event is free and open to the public. Before the Festival check out the 9th Annual Pride Parade which steps off at 1 PM at 7th Street and West University Avenue and proceeds down University Avenue to the downtown Community Plaza.

MyGayGo Integrity Guarantee

We, our MyGayGo users, and represented companies alike, need to trust the people with whom we all do business.  Therefore, we have created this Integrity Guarantee as a pledge to conduct business, business activities, and employment policies without bias toward sexual orientation or gender across the entire spectrum of the LGBT “rainbow”.

As a function of MyGayGo’s commitment to transparency, we will proudly publish a list of our MyGayGo “Integrity Guarantee” participants.  We feel equal obligation to publish those choosing not to participate in this Integrity Guarantee.

These are the three principles by which MyGayGo businesses pledge to be guided:

1. Work together to build long-term relationships that lead to trust, strong community, and sustainable business.

2. Not only embrace, but support full equality before the law and equal protection of the law without discrimination, as a basic and general principle in the celebration and protection of all human rights.

3. Anticipate that if problems occur, to set clear, public expectations in advance for how issues will be addressed (and redressed, if necessary).

As both users and advertisers in MyGayGo work together in these ways, we will honor and build business relationships that lead to long-term trust and reliability.
